The Playcare Difference

Dog play and socialization are both important to the overall well-being of our dogs, and as we know, a tired dog is a good dog. Playcare will aid in helping your dog live a well balanced and stimulated life. It is a great outlet for high energy, friendly dogs that live in a busy household. Our staff-to-dog ratio is VERY high and we keep our playgroups very small compared to other facilities. We each playgroup to no more than 12 dogs and don't feel it is safe to run 25-80 dogs in one single group. Safety is important to us and we have a STELLAR record. Our caring team is highly dedicated and several of our staff members are experienced Vet Techs.   Our playcare days are scheduled for active periods and rest periods. During hot days we rotate our groups every 15-20 minutes.  We pride ourselves on being able to provide our campers with  A LOT of playtime as we are a small facility and have lots of room to roam on our five acres of countryside.

Pricing per Day:

First Dog: $35
Second Dog: $20

For New Clients:
All dogs must complete our Happy Camper Approval process and one day of Playcare (FREE) before any boarding stay can be confirmed. Your dog needs to be sociable with other dogs. If you are a new client and interested in boarding or daycare, please e-mail a current photo with a brief description of your dog to mypetcamp@gmail.com. We will then promptly reply.
We have a no bully breed/bully breed mix policy at camp. Having had almost 30 years of experience working with all types of dogs, I have come to the conclusion in 2014 that bully breeds and bully breed mixes pose a much higher risk to other dogs in our care as well as to our staff than most breeds. It is their genetic disposition,  build and bite style - locking the jaw and tearing at their target as well as their often unpredictable aggressive outbursts and their power- which make them unique and unfortunately not a good fit for our environment. We welcome all bully and bully mixes in our training classes with open arms.

Playcare Requirements:
Up-to-date Bordetella, Rabies, and Distemper/Parvo (DHPP) vaccinations. All vaccinations need to have been administered no less than two weeks prior to the dog's stay.  Reservations are required for boarding and recommended for daycare as we can not always guarantee to have a spot for your "Spot".
